Provincial Assembly

Monday the 23rd of January

Provincial Assembly
Sunday, 29 January 2023
Savio House, Bollington and Online
2pm

The provincial assembly of the Salesian Cooperators in our Province of St Thomas of Canterbury will take place at Savio House, Bollington [SK10 5RW] on Sunday 29 January 2023. The gathering begins at 2pm and will conclude no later than 5pm. Tea, coffee and cake will be available.  Suggested donation £10.

The assembly is a wonderful opportunity to gather as Cooperators, share good news, and spend time in prayerful reflection. Bro Ste Lloyd SDB will be the guest speaker and lead reflections on St John Bosco and his legacy.

If you are planning to attend – either in person or online – please register by email to [email protected]. Centres who are unable to travel may consider gathering together to attend virtually.

Elections to the Provincial Council
The assembly will elect a new provincial council who will oversee the work of the Salesian Cooperators for the next three years. We invite all Cooperators to consider offering to serve as a member of the council. The minimum commitment is three meetings per year some of which will be online. Councillors are elected for an initial three-year term.

We are particularly keen to boost the representation of Cooperator centres amongst the provincial council and would encourage centres to nominate one of their members.

Jessica Wilkinson, Hilary Kiszczuk, and Elaine Holland are coming to the end of their six year term of service and will stand down from the council after this meeting. Kate Wilkinson offers herself for re-election. Matt Jeziorski is standing down.

Nominations (with a proposer and seconder) should be forwarded to [email protected].
